Writing (prolly not for the light of heart)

I was writing a death scene, where character A got shocked by lightning and sunk into a flood, and character B watches and gets sick. As I was setting up context that character A died and drowned, I also felt really sick and felt like barfing, which was ironically what character B was going to do. I don't know if I should be proud or terrified right now.
