So while I was watching the Nintendo Switch video I got a glance at one part of the video that showed King Boo racing on Yoshi Circuit so... NEW DLC CONFIRMED! King Boo has always been one those characters that I used on occasion in Mario Kart Wii and Double Dash!! for me so its pretty cool to see him comeback.

    It's Mario Kart 9 not dlc since the characters were holding multiple items.

    well if you look at the video you can see that the track intro is the same as the original game so this is probably a updated version of Mario Kart 8
