On the second quest in 1-2 it's possible to get infinite lives by climbing on the beanstalk at beginning of the level and then move up and down to hit one of the Buzzy Beetles... Wait... What is a beanstalk doing in there!? Yes, it's a glitch. To do it, first select 2 player game then have Mario lose a life, then with Luigi make it to 1-2 and lose a life... More on the next comment.

    Now with Mario make it all the way to 5-2 without losing, in 5-2 hit the block with the beanstalk and here's the complicated part, the idea is that you grab on the beanstalk and you get hit by a hammer right when Mario is going up on his own which requires some timing, because the Hammer Bro must jump in order for his hammer to reach Mario in that place.
