Xenoblade Chronicles Diary: The Final Grind.

At long last, I see a message saying if I proceed further, I won't be able to return. This can only mean one thing and I'm only at level 78. My party is Shulk, Dunban and Riki. If there are any good grinding spots from 78 and upwards, I'd like to know them.

    Prison Island and the high level mobs in Satorl Marsh (the Quadwings that appear at night,etc) are your best bet. That said, grinding is not required in Xenoblade. I beat the game at lvl 76 once without ever having to grind. You just need to use the mechanics the game gives you (gems, skill links,...). So if you don't want to grind, don't. If you'd rather grind, go ahead.

    At that point in the game I think I went Shulk, Dunban, and 7 (don't want to spoil it for anyone that might stumble onto this post). Those 3 have the best DPS in the game and can do well. I experimented heavily with Riki and Melia as well, but they usually took a bit more finesse. By that point you should be able to kill most enemies very quickly, so Riki's DoT skills sort of fall out of favor.

    7 is without question a useful character at this point, especially in a certain previous fight I disliked. But with my current gems and setup, Riki now has 9999 HP along with high defence and aggro gems. His healing move is maxed out and so is the move that recovers a third of the chain attack bar.
