『だかしかし』は「だが、しかし」??「だがし、かし」??

アニメ化もされた有名作品『だかしかし』ですが、 友人との会話で 私「『だか、しかし』新刊でたねー」 友「なにいってんのー『だかし、かし』だよー」 私「えー？？本当に？？」 友「多分そうだよー!!」 っとなりましたが、本当にそうなのでしょうか？？ 教えてくださいm(_ _)m
