I hate how people are now saying that Z-moves are bad because it didn't completely obliterate that Probopass. PROBOPASS IS A DEFENSIVE POKEMON, and that looked like a Physical Z-Move. And for all we know, that Tapu Koko may not have had the Type Advantage, seeing as you can only equip Z-Crystals of your type, both of which Probo resists. Stop judging too soon!

  • That's ironic and hypocritical, since everyone complains that Z-moves ARE op. And then we get a Z-move that doesn't completely knock out the opponent, and a reminder that we don't have any other chance to use it again, and everyone complains that it's NOT op.

  • Exactly. People are expecting like the Rock Z-Move to oneshot Ferrothorn or some shizniz. I feel the Z-Moves will basically be a flashy Explosion with a varying type that doesn't knock out the user. If you use it right, Z-Moves can be deadly, if used wrongly, costly.

  • In the Sun and Moon demo, I did a battle of the Pikachus, used a Z-Move, and didn't 1-shot the other Pikachu. Just because Pulverizing Pancake looks like a nuke doesn't mean that it is. Z-Move power is based on move-it's-from power. (I guess this makes a Z-Move from the power of Splash useless, huh?)

  • Z Moves are powerful, I'll give you that, but only one Z-Move per battle, and type effectiveness still seems to be a factor. With Probopass being such a defensive Pokemon, of course it can stand almost anything, if not everything(If it has the "Sturdy" ablity). Z moves are more a marketing tool for children to think, "With this, I will become the best there ever was. I will reign over my friends."

  • "I will become unstoppable." Until the strategic players beat them in online play. They aren't really meant to be game breaking to the point that it's a free KO. It can be a free KO if used wisely. But everything must be used wisely, or else it has its own consequences, like spending all of your money to buy something, or using a Normal Z-Move on a Ghost Pokemon, and vice versa.

  • Of course, you can't attach an Electrium Z to a Pupkaboo or Riolu, but there are also the Pokemon Specific Crystals, like Pikachu, Eevee, or Snorlax. Something to just add to the experience of Pokemon, and something to sell more games is all Z-Moves are. Just like Mega Evolution, it's something that can make your team stronger.

  • My only questions would be: Since Arceus can change typing, will Z- Crystals not only give Arceus a Z-Move, but are all type related Z crystals compatible, since the held item causes the type change the typing and all? Will Z-Crystals change Arceus' type itself? How will Z-Crystals work with Zygarde, since depending on where you are, it's typing changes? Being able to change types, I must know.
