I know I'll get hate for this, but I don't care.

Why is it games like Call of Duty get hated on for supposedly releasing the same game over aagain when, let's face it, Mario's guilty of the same thing? COD games are actually well constructed and work very well, so why do people claim it's worse than Big Rigs?

  • I find that Call of Duty is almost the same each time around. The only differences are better graphics and different maps, guns, etc. I know you really can't do much to change it, but at least do something other than the same changes that were made the past 10 times

  • Glad someone finally pointed this out. Everyone here acts like Nintendo is still the most innovative and creative game company, but in reality they're no better than Activision. They're actually worse in some aspects (Youtube Dictatorship Program.)

  • Well, I personally think it's the difference between "fun" and "cool." Fun is timeless, something that doesn't need to change almost simply because it doesn't have to. Cool is dated, it always has to put on a different persona based on what's cool. That's how we went from a military simulation FPS to Jetpacks and space stuff. But, this is my opinion, and you have your own.

And than people don't like Sonic games, because they allways change the things and don't have one "formula" XD A middle way is the best, I say!

  • Can we also mention how CoD releases Nuketown as DLC for every game and if you don't get it from preorder its like $15. This leads to almost every game on most CoDs being Death match, Nuketown.

  • I agree. However (and I'm not even joking), they're starting to bring some new mechanics to the table in Infinite Warfare (grapples, spacewalking, etc.).

  • Nintendo is better than Activision. At least they like to have their Mario games vary from year to year and they don't shove DLC down your throat. (But they're still not as bad as EA. For that matter, I came across a traingame on PC that had ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS OF DLC. You can never say Nintendo does DLC badly ever again.)

  • I stand by that Capcom's Monster Hunter has the best DLC. It comes on the first Friday of every month and it is free. You just have to work to get the new gear.

  • It's ironic that a Capcom game is doing well with DLC, considering they're a company notorious for their sketchy DLC practices.

  • I'll admit though, the costumes for UMvC3 were pretty cool, since most of them were send-ups to other games. Like Amaterasu had a costume based off of Jon Talbain, Crimson Viper had one based off of Decapre. Plus Heroes & Heralds was a fun mode.

  • The costumes for their fighti g games I've no problem with, it's usually about their pricing and when they're on the disc (like Street Fighter X Tekken, a game I admittingly enjoy, though I feel it suffered from DLC overload).

  • Why do you think us Monster Hunter fans love it so much? Not o ly is it fun but it doesn't have these wacky DLC issues that other Capcom games suffer from.

  • It's good to know there's one franchise Capcom gives plenty of love and attention to. If only there were other franchises they had worthy of getting noticed.

  • I don't really pay attention to CoD, but I agree I'm also tired of how Nintendo plays it safe with Mario (except for Super Mario Maker I'd say). My main gripe with the "NEW" Super Mario games is how it never really got past "The original Mario Bros. modernized".

  • I'm not really a fan of call of duty, but I will say at least the mario franchise doesn't have an incredibly overated fanbase like C.O.D. does. Sure the newer mario games are known to rinse & repeat with the same formula but at least their fun & enjoyable for any age. I could never get into call of duty because I'm not a FPS type of guy. Btw andrew, who is nemesis?

  • Oh Duane, are you from that scary boss post? Nemesis is the main villain of Resident Evil 3. He's a 9 foot tall monstrosity who weilds a rocket launcher, is practically bulletproof, and will. Not. STOP. CHASING YOU.
