    Because it's not Link who passes on these legends, it's the Royal Family who does that. So whenever you play a Zelda game, you're seeing a story being told by the Royal Family, but through the eyes of the Hero. For example, it's like saying why is the book called Dracula when the main character is Jonathan Harker.
