  Writing: About 30% to 50% of the first draft complete - I can't give an exact number at this point. Looks like this story will take longer than I thought. I wouldn't be surprised if it would take me over a month of posting to upload the whole thing once it's ready. At least it would be regularly updated. This month will have a heavier focus on writing.

  There will be three drafts to this, and I'll explain them. First draft will be the rough script of the whole thing, from beginning to end, as well as notes to myself and snippets of dialogue. Once this is done, consider the writing "halfway done"; This is only an estimate and I'm awful at estimating, so don't take my word fully on that.

  Second draft will be me working from the first, turning it into something more readable. This is where I need to get serious. Once I reach this point, the entire story will be considered completely written but not ready. While the base of the story will be done by this point, it's not yet a story until I move on to this phase, so it's still a lot of work to be done.

  Third draft will be me finalizing the second draft, looking over the whole thing and formatting+editing. This should be the shortest process as most of the writing will be complete.

  Drawing: Over 2/3 of the character designs complete, still need to work on "sprites" and backgrounds and possibly illustrations for certain scenes if I can manage it. "Sprites" will be art of the characters with varying expressions and perhaps a few poses. I don't know how many illustrations there will be (if any), but they won't be as important as everything else I want done.

  While the workload for drawing will be far lighter than my previous projects, there's still plenty to do here. You'll also be seeing them show up in previews in the coming weeks, so there's more drawing there. Going to try a different method of storytelling that's heavier on text because I'm too casual with drawing, I can't take it too seriously.

  Goal: Finish the first draft, and as much as possible of the second draft (at the very least)by the end of December. Finish all sprites and expressions, and as many backgrounds and illustrations as I can. Priority: Sprites > Backgrounds > Illustrations. Putting it all together can wait until the writing and drawing are nearly complete.

  I can't promise it will be fully ready by the end of December. I would really like for that to be the case so I'll work my lazy butt extra hard. But this time I want to have most of it ready and finished before presenting it, to minimize any hiatuses. This will likely mean less time on Miiverse for me, but I'll still be around. I'll try to post updates semi-regularly, like every week.

  Between having it rushed and having it delayed, I'd rather delay it than putting out something I won't be satisfied with and could be better than it should be. Plus real life might get in the way and delay it at any point, I'm not a machine. I'm a bit shocked how old this story's idea is and how long it's been sitting around in my head. Time sure flies.
