Why it's incredibly logical to bring back the ice climbers in smash switch.

Ice climbers were left out of smash 4 for one reason. They couldn't get them working right on the 3ds Ver. They had them working perfectly on Wii U. If the Switch is as or more powerful than Wii U, there's absolutely NO reason to not include them at all.

They're pretty much guaranteed to be in whatever the next Smash game is for that exact reason.

  • Since the Nintendo Switch is a Handheld/Home Console, the Ice Climbers could work perfectly and with that annoying chain-grab mechanic removed possibly.

  • I hope they also bring back Ivysaur and Squirtle, but stay seperate from Charizard.

  • And that way they force people to buy the game again! Because you know, nostalgia

  • Makes perfect sense. Like Link being a righty for the Wii version of Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. Well now that motion controls aren't in Breath of the Wild, he should be a lefty again...right? Right?

  • Yes. He should def be a lefty.

  • Except that from what we've seen, he's not. I hate to tell you, but Nintendo doesn't always have a reason for doing something, even if the fans don't like it or it makes no sense.

  • My only excuse for that os that the game may support motion controls with one of the controller variations

  • It more than likely won't. The Gamepad is the primary controller because of how it functions as the map (similar to Xenoblade X) and I think the Sheikah Slate. Idk the Switch's controller name, but it will probably have the same function.

  • Maybe. But link has been right handed for a while now since the wii.

  • Well, he was a lefty in A Link Between Worlds and the 64/Gamecube Zelda ports to the 3DS/Wii U.

  • The Switch's controller is called the Joycon.
