    mid to high tier it doesn't matter too much but low tiers can be hard to play as easy hightiers include: mario and rosalina

    It ultimately depends on your playstyle and what you want to get out of Smash. If you're a player who plays on..... Temple with all items on high frequency, there's no reason to pay any remote attention to tiers because it wouldn't matter to you. If you're a competitive smash player who wants to become part of the elite top Smash players? Then tier lists will start to become more important.

    It shows how a character generally does against everyone else. Higher tiers tend to have good matchups against more characters, while lower tiers generally have less good matchups. And it kinda depends on tourney results, too.

    It doesn't matter for casual play, all stages and items, but it can still have an effect as a high tier will still be better than a low tier.

    I agree that it matters more for competitive players and less for casual players. I also believe it can greatly depend how a person plays as the character and what their play style is.

    Yes, for competitive play, but if you're casual, a character is just as good as the person who plays them. Like what @Riley said :)

    Eh, in my opinion it is not important to me. I do play competitively, but I also stick to the characters I can play as. Bottom or Top tiers, it doesn't matter, although I don't agree with some characters in the tier list. I think I am only here that says that tiers are not important, but it's ok. Plus these guys are tournament players. I am just a For Glory player and challenge myself a lot.
