I beat the final level! And those that beat the game on hard will find that the credit sequence looks different than usual.

  • Well, I used it while I was grinding. And for certain levels in hard. That's what I meant. So far in expert, I have not used it, though.

  • I understood what you meant. I maybe should have clarified a bit, but I never assumed you beat Hard or will beat Expert without it completely. Though I'm sure someone out there is crazy enough to try.

  • You're probably right there. But, we will see.

  • I'm close, on mission 89 currently, doubt I'll beat it tonight, but should be able to tomorrow. I'll definitely post an update before I begin level 100. Looking forward to hearing you beating it as well.

  • Haven't gotten to play it since my last update! (facepalm) So many other games keep getting in the way. There's Smash Bros practice so I don't get rusty, Monster Hunter ranking, Kid Icarus weapon fusing...... I'm embarrassed to say........ that I'm still on Chapter 1.

  • I'm having the same problem with me ignoring my Wii U games like Splatoon, SM3DW, and DK: TF for starters. As well as a bunch of other 3DS games like beating Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, only five chapters in that game left. Need to get to Zelda: ALBW too. So many games.

  • ALBW was good. I was impressed, yet I don't play much Zelda.

  • I bought every Zelda game since the Gameboy Color and yet have never beaten a single one.

  • Ohh...... (clutch transition) I made it to Chapter 2 today. One of the big things I'm noticing is levels taking longer to complete. They're still doable with thought (and builder+pensioner), but they are definitely harder. I can't believe there's an expert+ after this. DLC though.....

  • I noticed that as well, levels took much longer. It's funny because I started to use the builder skill around the halfway mark on chapter 4 and it definitely helped. I could leave Lola knowing she would be fine because of the maxed out barriers and turrets. Doesn't work that well on the final level unfortuanately.

  • You made it to the final level? How'd that go? ......I assume you're working on it?

  • Oh..... derp. I saw your journals. Never mind. What did you do for that level?

  • Beat it, very tough because of the gold minotaurs spawning statues all over the map so you have to focus on them as well as the gold minotaur statues (while laying down bombs on other statues as well). They destroy the castle fast, I can't defeat the boss and enough statues in time to switch characters before the castle is destroyed. Still figuring out a strategy for that.

  • Much like above, they come swarming in the beginning so you have to focus on the minotaurs. Builder (only tried it once on the level so it isn't conclusive) is tough to use effectively because while gold isn't a problem, the hoard of enemies and boss are. Taking out the barriers with ridiculous speed. I always have the lift skill to carry Lola around the map, dropping bombs when I have a safe spot

  • TLDR: Focus on clearing one side of the map, carry Lola to that side and than focus on the boss. He was irritating due to him grabbing Lola from afar, that's how I kept losing. Once he was gone, clearing out the enemies wasn't too bad.

  • Argh! Missed these posts but when I said "Expert" I'm referring to Hell difficulty.

  • I haven't been able to play this game much. I think I ruined my R button playing it. My D-pad (which I use for the nostalgic mood of this game) is looser too. Gonna have to send in for repairs. And be gentler next time.

  • Ah dang, that sucks to hear. If I may ask, which 3DS are you using? 'Cause the original 3DS was known to have a more wobbly d-pad and trigger issues. If yours is the original one, than I'm glad to see it has lasted you this long. Hope getting a replacement isn't too much of a hassle.

  • No, my old one lasted 3 years and only had a slightly loose circle pad by the end. This is the New 3DS. Like, with amiibo reader built-in and stuff. It was probably because I had only done Hard mode on my old system. Anything above that...... yeah.....

  • Or maybe I jinxed myself, because I'm playing Smash right now and my circle pad is making loud cracking noises. Not good.......
