I remember back in Mario Kart Wii, there was a glitch involving Grumble Volcano where you could land on this boulder from the ramp behind it. And if you carefully drove around it and passed the finish line it would count as a lap. Too bad it dosn't work in Mario Kart 8. You can still land on the boulder, but it's too flat and Lakitu will quickly pull you back on the track if you do.

    Oh OK. I just find it funny how much back then people used to exploit this glitch. I remember one time back when the Wi-fi for Mario Kart Wii was still active, I was in a full room with 12 other people on this track. When the race began, 7 of the racers (me included) stayed on the track while 5 of them stayed behind to attempt the lap glitch.

    ...and it was HILARIOUS!!! All the people who stayed behind mostly lost the race just so they can attempt the glitch. Some of them kept missing the boulder and some of them came really close.
