Gotta Protectors

I tried & beat the final level on Hell+. Nope, not beating the game on this difficulty. Super hard, gold minotaurs everywhere spawning more minotaurs which you have to beat. Worst of all, the game glitches if you use the Ninja and your skills that you have (like bomb trap for instance) just up and quit working. Everything goes invisible and prevents you from using any of your skills. Stupid.

  • Progress isn't impossible, but it is very difficult without the use of your offensive skills. If you had the Demon of Doom left to beat, I'd consider it near impossible because he'd kill Lola with his extend-O-grab technique and crush her to death.

  • Okay, I managed to replicate it for the 7th time. I believe there might actually be a bomb limit, but I'd have to test that on a seperate level. Anyhow. I'll be posting pictures of the final level on Hell+. I'll be showing all my skills to prove I'm not lying. For the bomb trap, pay attention to his hand, that is how you can tell he's laying one. Cont.

  • Also pay attention to the mana, with the skills I have equipped, only bomb trap can deplete it all the way. So without further adue, lets begin. The first picture will show your standard bomb.

  • The next picture shows the skill pick up, remember you can only have three skills equipped at a time.

  • The last skill I have is dash, as shown. The picture after this one will show the invisible bombs. Pay attention to the mana and extended arm.

  • See how the arm is extended showing he's laying a bomb, my mana is drained showing that I should have laid about 10 or so bombs by then. Not to mention the timer for the first bomb laid should have gone off and you should see an explosion like in the first picture.

  • Here is my Ninja with all the skills shown in the other pictures, providing further evidence.

  • This picture shows what I had left once my bombs glitched. Also look at the timer, it hasn't gone down at all between the pictures, I think that is just part of the difficulty setting and not a glitch because I've tried the first level on Hell+ and I believe it didn't drop. If I had to guess, I'd say that they wouldn't want people worrying about the timer when they're fighting so many enemies.

  • So that is the best evidence I can provide. I totally believe it can be replicated. You can give it a try and find out for yourself. If you are going to, one tip I'd give is focusing on the boss and statues as you carry Lola around the map. After beating the boss it shouldn't be much longer until your bombs run out.

  • Taylor, thanks for the step by step posts. I also use the ninja the most, so this will help me.

  • Glad I could help Tommy. Though if you're looking for tips on a difficulty other than Hell+ I recommend you check out some of my other posts where I go more in-depth on using the Ninja or beating the final level. If you are really feeling up to trying Hell+, especially the final level, I'd say focus on the gold minotaurs southwest of your location and then the boss. Cont.

  • By the time you take out the three gold minotaurs, the four or so blue ones, and the statue, race back to Lola (you may have to anyways to replenish your health), drop some bombs on the boss, pick up Lola and run away. As you're carrying Lola around the map, take out some statues when you put her down, while chipping away at the bosses health until he's dead. Cont.

  • Be aware of his reach as mentioned in the very beginning somewhere, that is how you will die the most. I usually like to take out the statues clockwise starting with the gold minotaur one SW of your location, but it is more of a personal preference. Cont.

  • Once the boss is taking out, be warned, your bombs are going to soon be depleted and then the real Hell+ can begin. Now you have to rely on your basic attack to take out everything which is very difficult. Especially because of turrets and bomb statues that spawn. Cont.

  • Just focus on the gold minotaurs, statues of both kinds, and turrets if you can. Pick Lola up, drop her at a safe location, take out some enemies, pick her up, safe location, rinse and repeat. You should be able to beat it but it will not be easy. Good luck.

  • I can try assuming I learn the ninja and make it to that difficulty.

  • Well that's what I did, though you could try with someone else. I'd be curious if it could be beaten with others. For Hell+, you don't have to "beat" anything. All the chapters are unlocked from the beginning so you could just jump straight to the final boss if you wanted. At least that is what I did. I Don't think I'll have a lot of time for this game left due to Pokèmon releasing here tomorrow.

  • I'm getting Moon. :-) I will keep trying. So far, Old Man on "that difficulty" has been doing well. Anyway, you are sure it's just a skill limit or something? Because I'd be disappointed if the hardest chapter in the game was intentionally unbeatable.

  • Sweet, so am I. Been blacking out on Pokémon since the October trailer. First time I've done that willingly for a game. Usually I spoil everything before I buy it. By "that" difficulty are you referring to Hard or Hell? I'm going to assume Hell. And I don't think they made it impossible to beat level 100 Hell+ without the Ninja, it just probably involves a different strategy.

  • Your assumption is correct. I got to thinking, and I thought maybe they imposed a limit on some skills to make it harder/encourage different strategies.
