*sigh* Just knocked out a shiny Oricorio -- I was talking to my family when it appeared, and didn't see the sparkle. It was the first one I'd seen, so I didn't even realize what I'd done until the next wild encounter was a different shade. After that battle, I checked my 'dex, and there was the shiny sprite.

    Shinys were only valuable in Gen 2. Every since then they been regular pokemans that just look different. You have no idea how upset i was when i ran into a shiny Graveler in my Gold version when i was younger and it used Selfdestruct. R.I.P red Graveler M14

    Shiny's were always like that tho honestly. Same pkmn just color swapped xD. They're valuable in every game cuz of how rare they are but least in later entries u have a higher chance at getting them but still extremely rare to find tho. But i honestly can care less bout shiny's. Not about to waste tons of hours in my day over an alternate color palette swap lol.

    I mean if i find one good if not oh well. I only play pkmn now for its adventuring and story anyway. Not competitive or a huge pkmn collector like i use to be long time ago.
