is it just me or do you think the Pokedex was lying about Pikachu being found in the wild on Melemele? Because Ive searched where it said to search and found nothing but Rattata, Wingull, Meowth, and the occational Abra.

    Yes and no. It can be found there, but not normally in the wild. The only way to get Pikachu is to get wild Pichu there to call for help. Sometimes, instead of another Pichu, a wild Pikachu will come to aid it. Happiny can also appear, too.

    Route 1, last 2 patches of grass before Iki Town. Pichu can be found rarely, & can summon Pikachu through SOS battles, or you know, just catch & evolve a Pichu.
