    Rip Chansin No, he's not auto-befriend. You need to befriend him normally. Also, Master Nyada's first (Or second, I don't remember) quest let's you choose between the Sinister Whetstone and the Rough Whetstone. Choose Sinister Whetstone. Fuse with Battered Blade. (Available at Jungle Hunter) Cursed Blade! :D
