Question

What are your shiny encounters and what you were doing when they appeared?

I currently caught a shiny Gastrodon (blue) while trying to make a Castform appear on Exeggutor Island, and a shiny Eevee while trying to make an Umbreon appear.

    Um, that Gastrodon might just be in its East Sea form... Unless it actually sparkled, then it's East Sea shiny, which is slightly greener in face and paler in belly. As for the shiny Eevee, nice! All of my encounters were actually in XY/ORAS when I got a shiny Nosepass and a shiny Mespirit.

    No it's definitely shiny, they both have the red star. In fact I almost didn't notice (and was about to kill it) when the Gastrodon appeared because its so close to the regular one but when the little yellow star sparkle thing appeared (you'll see when you get a shiny in Sun or Moon).

    I ran into a shiny caterpie while EV training for HP, I had to catch it for appearing so early, 11th call for help.
