    yeah, because the wii was kinda terrible and Nintendo didn't care about online as much there because, oh wait, wii was DESIGNED for local multiplayer with friends and family. they simply didn't want it to have wifi as long. However wii u is much more dependant on wifi, so therefore will stay on longer that the wii... that took forever to type...
