Is Cheating Really Wrong?

I'm always against cheating, but breeding pokemon is the biggest waste of time. It doest required skill, it doesn't require anything but time. Why would I waste my time breeding if it doesn't make me a better player skill wise. Pokemon it's full of dumb mechanics, and it's very heavy reliable on luck.

    Look at me, I've started breeding my Pokémon to get better moves. Like a Pikachu with Thunderpunch or a Charmander with Dragon Pulse.

    I get where you're coming from, what a lot of the children on miiverse don't understand is adults and teens who play pokemon don't have the time to sit there running around in circles for hours trying to get the RNG to give them the one they want. I'm all for working hard, but not everyone has the time to breed for perfect Iv pokemon.

    @Sam I don't know you, or even care about knowing you. I won't let you or anyone talk down to me. I can express my opinion freely. It's my right. And just for future poster. I never said I didn't breed or didn't know the procedure, I do breed, and I've played clean all my life. I'm just saying it's understandable and I support those who do.

    @Titan that's the thing, not everybody has the time. I got better things to do that going round in circles to hatch thousands of eggs. I don't want to sound redundant because I've explained it on past comments. The system is a complete waste of time and too luck based.

    @Tyler what's there to understand? I've played the game, I don't find it perfect, I belive it needs a changes and improvements. I just want to battle online with a good team like anyone else, without going through such a tedious procedure that does nothing but waste my time.

    It doesn't take time though, realistically if done right it takes about as long as editing something in, in oras I was able to breed a perfect pokemon usually in under 2 minutes

    Pokemon battle is like gunpla battle, u build your own gunpla & fight with it, you breed your own pokemon and battle with it. Actually it's easier to breed pokemonz this gen, i just put a flamebody pkmn & go to the small enclosure directly below the poke-nursery & dash with tauros :)

    Yes rey, I do agree is faster in this gen, it takes about 1 min to hatch and you don't need to go to the pc. Other thing I did is wonder trade and check iv, some nice people gave me 6 iv's Pokémon while I was giving out adamant rowlet from my extra breeding. I made this post because I used to get mad at people cheating, but I thought about it, and as long as it has legit stats and moves....

    ... then it doesn't really matter, because is completely understandable someone would cheat to get pokemon so they can battle. Again I don't cheat, and I'll never cheat, but I won't get mad if someone does, it's more than understandable if they do.

    I agree with that, cheating is totally ok bcoz it's just a game, people do it to save time, plus cheating in pkmn is dffrnt compared to other games with cheats like 1 shot/infinite mana etc, the cheat here is more like a shortcut, & in the end it doesn't matter because player skillz is what matters competetively, but if you're participating in tournaments, it's quite risky & could get you banned.

    Hey but im no cheater lol, It's way too fun to breed.. The excitement i feel when checking each of pkmns iv's, the artistic aspect of matching a ball with a pkmn's color scheme and that moment whent i finally obtained a pokemon with perfect stats or 0 speed (for trick room teams) is priceless & finally battling with pride using your own pkmns. But when u cheat it feels like using a bootleg

    Idk I haven't cheated so I'm not sure what it would feel like, personally I don't think it would affect me much in pokemon, it would feel like pokemon showdown. I do understand how some people love breeding, a friend breed hundreds of pokemon In x y and shared me his extras lol and that's how I got pokemon for breeding.

    Lol I was doing the exact same thing, but I finished the game, I couldn't wait once I reached ponia island ghahaa I needed to see the end. Besides youtube was full of spoilers and I was afraid of getting spoiled.
