Just managed to get a Pokerus shiny Null from Wonder Trade. Other than that it does seem legit. Is cloning still a thing in these games?

@Louis, it's a safe Pokemon virus that gives a Pokemon double EVs and boosted Exp. for the entire game. It wears off after 24 hours unless in a PC box. So spread it everywhere! Pokerus is easy to spread and Shiny Type: Null is available with SRs, so yeah, I can safely say it's legit. If it's in a normal Pokeball.

I just checked, it is in a normal Pokeball, lv50, found at Aether 'apparently at lv40'. Though it does have questionable IVs; it's full in all 6. I'm guessing Bottlecaps? If there really is no cloning glitch, then i still question. Why was it sent out on Wonder Trade? Maybe it was an accident? Either way, i'm guessing i got incredibly lucky.

Never let it go... ever. Wish I had found something like this...

You are very lucky. I never got a legendary or any shiny in a wonder trade. Also, this is a random question, but do Bottle Caps increase IVs? I got one recently in a lottery in Festival Plaza, but I have no idea what it does.

Bottle Caps and Golden Bottle Caps can be traded in for Hyper Training. Hyper Training is like IV training, but with a twist. It will max the IVs of a stat or several(if using a Golden Bottle Cap),however,it will only be treated like that for its stats and in battle. (continued in my next comment)

For example, let's say I have a Ditto with perfect IVs in HP,but only has 1 IV in Speed. I trade in a Bottle Cap for Hyper Training and choose Speed. Its Speed stat will now be how it was if its Speed IV was maxed out. In actuality, its Speed IV is still 1 though. So if I try using this Ditto for breeding and it passed off its Speed IV,the offspring would get the speed IV of 1.

So for example if i were to get a Ditto (with Destiny Knot) with four or five full IVs and pass them down, i'd be able to cover the offspring's low IV(s) by using Bottlecaps on those low IV(s). Then that offspring will have all perfect full IVs in battle and on the stat screen, but won't be able to pass down the IVs we used the Bottlecaps to get. Right?

I actually got a shiny lv40 Drapion and a lv70 Mewtwo from Wonder Trade back in XY, both of different languages. I released about 20 or so Pokemon into Wonder Trade today and it was mostly just easily catchable stuff, though. I was expecting shiny starter rejects, but they all seem to have been caught... And there was that Null in there too.

Uhh...you can't Hyper Train with a Pokemon below Lv. 100...!

@EvilReun: That is correct. Hyper Training also allows people to use any Hidden Power their Pokemon has now as you can just Hyper Train to cover the bad IVs. It allows people to pretty much make any Pokemon competitively ready as far as IVs are concerned. Natures,Egg Moves, and Abilities are another story though.

@Gira: Nobody said anything about Hyper Training a Pokemon that isn't lvl 100. Especially since that is the only requirement for a Pokemon to be able to take Hyper Training. Though perhaps I should have made that more clear in my comments? Sorry about that, you know how the 400 character limit can be sometimes.

It may have been in reference to my first comment when i mentioned about using the bottlecaps on Null to max its IVs, but it's still only lv50. My mistake, i forgot. Thank you for confirming that for me. I got my 5IV Ditto now but not the Destiny Knot yet. I've been out with 4 lv60 Pickup Lillipups for about 8 hours so far and still nothing.

The only advice I can give is to try having 5 Pokemon with the Pickup ability and battle wild Pokemon outside the ranch with the nursery. Paniola Ranch,I think. With a high level Pokemon in the lead, you'll be able to take wild Pokemon out quickly. You could try to grind BP in Battle Royales.

I have 5 now because i accidentally evolved one so i caught some more. I've actually been battling in Poni Gaultlet so that the Lillipup will level quickly because i've heard that Destiny Knots are more common at higher levels. I've heard people got them at levels as low as 15 and 25 which is why i was so confident in this method. I guess it's fair for me to be unlucky here after Null and Ditto.

Well everybody is trying to determine the Pickup level pull for this Generation. I know I have to S.O.S. chain/Call chain some Ditto for a better one. Hoping to get one with Imposter for battling and good IVs for breeding.
