Listen man people can't give you a recommended team because the simple fact is... the game's program literally plots AGAINST you could have a seemingly perfect team but the game will generate pokemon to counter that team all I can say is grind for those battle points....

Since this is the Alola region, I would use Pyukumuku or Toxapex as bulk to your team! (I like Pyukumuku more but I'll let you decide)

The AI will hard-counter you if you try to utilize a devious strategy. You just have to try your luck is all. It's crazy.

....or just do what usually did and get a slowbro and spam calm mind until the cows come home and you'll wreck most teams seriously I got 33 straight wins using this strategy XD

It worked or me but make sure that slowbro's EVs and IV's are invested in special defense, defense and special attack also after you win 11 battle you'll start being rewarded with two battle points making you life easier hope this helps :D

The only way to win in the Battle Maison is through Toxic-Stall. That's it.

Just be aware of what the guy above me a few comments said. The game plots AGAINST you a lot. I had a pure electric-type team left and what makes it worse is that I had to fight Togedamaru which is EXTREMELY annoying in Double Battles. My opponent even had Chansey with Heal Pulse and whenever I tried attacking Chansey, Togedemaru takes the attack instead.

AND WHENEVER I GET TOGEDEMARU THE LITTLE ELECTRIC SCRUB TO RED WELL... [Chansey used Heal Pulse!]. UGH I WANTED TO THROW MY 3DS OUT THE WINDOW! ;-;

The Battle Tree is specifically made to cheese you out of a win. They will do ANYTHING to make you lose. Some Examples are: Constant Flinching. Always hitting yourself in confusion. Always paralyzed. Attaks missing. And the worst one of them all: Walrein with Sheer-Cold, Fissure, Sleep-Talk, Rest. With Bright Powder. If you encounter this, immediately quit.

You know you can use UB's in the Battle Tree right? IDK the exact team, but you can probably do something like this. Kartana with an Adamant Nature and Life Orb. Pherosmosa: Possibly Modest and Focus Sash. That's all that I know.

Made it to round 16 with my story mode pkmn. Lost to a critical hit... Some advice: each time the opposing pkmn counter your pkmn SWITCH 100% (even if you have a move that is super effective)

I figured out that if you are able to KO that one pkmn that counters your lead, your lead pkmn will end up countering either their second or last pokemon. So KO the enemy's counter, then you have a ~50% that the next pokemon will be weak to your lead.

Attack the oppent's second pokemon with your switched-in pkmn,(your pkmn probably faints in this turn but the opponent is damaged). Then send in your lead that counters to get the 0HKO. Then finish off the third opponent's pokemon using your remaining pokemon.
