Characters that you would have liked recruitable

i mean i love Red and Morrie.but if there were two more characters you could recuit.mines would be Marek and King Pavan.but what about you guys.who would you like to have.if you could recruit two more characters.

well i actually made a guide on that here on the community board if u go lower down u should see one of my post with a spoiler warning and it will have all the info u need on seed farming however if u can't find it down there i'll answer it for u here although u should be able to find my post since i don't make that many.

well thank you.that information is very helpful and i appreciate it.but i was trying power up my characters for the final battle against rhapthorne so could pown him.i wanted to make characters powerful before the final battle.oh well ..i'll just have to hope for new game plus.if there is one that is.anyway thank you i'll use this trick you mentioned.why can't there be infinite leveling up?

out of any of jessica's skills that helped me out against bosses.it was puff puff.she would entice the boss into staring at those jewels.and he would fall for it every time.making beating them easy as pie.near the end of jessica's adventure.she went up against rhapthorne and used her seductive skills to enthrall his evilness.her Medea.Red.Carrie.Valentina.and Sasha use Super puff puff to win

Sorry i didn't respond sooner i've been dealing with work but the only way to power your self before rhapthore fight is to hope that u get a seed from those blue chest otherwise there aren't much seed grinding methods till the post game content which in this version u will need seeds for post game is harder then the ps2 version.

oh well.i guess i'll just search the blue chests.thus begins my long and arduous journey to make overpowered characters.and again,thank you very much.i appreciate your help.i wonder why there's no videos mentioning how to get the costumes for everyone?.they should show how to get them.because i want those costumes for everyone.i don't want to take up too much time.so thank you for the help

Mike - There's a webpage that not only shows what the characters look like in their various costumes, but also how to obtain them. Go to: www.rpgsite.net Click on "Games", type "dragon quest viii" in the search bar next to Platforms" and "Sort By" and the article about unlocking costumes will be there.

Thank you very much.thanks to your help i was able to make Jessica look like a witch.as well as get the nitid tutu and school blazer.and Yangus is looking good in that new outfit.currently working on Angelo's oriental/samurai outfit.as well as his butler outfit and Red's outfits too.but thank you very much.i appreciate your help with this.i really do.now i can take on the final boss in style.

Glad I was able to help. I've done most of them except for Angelo's costumes. I like Yangus in the Dogsbody's garb, and the Hero in his Gothic stuff. Red looks best in her Kunoichi set, and Jessica in Hexlet garb.

i agree.i also like Jessica in her witch costume as well as her divine bustier.Red looks good in her Pirate costume AND her Kunoichi costume.just managed to finally beat rank X monster arena with Octurion.Skeledoid and Nohi.now Angelo has a spiffy butler costume.lookin good.i was taking pictures all day yesterday and today.and finally have part of the gothic costume.and Reds Pirate costume done

I haven't tried to clear Rank X yet as I've been trying to beat Dark Servant in Memoriam. That's the toughest battle I ever fought in all the Dragon Warrior/Quest games. I finally bested him last night. I will get to the Monster Arena to clear the last rank pretty soon.

now to talk more on the marriage options.now i do love Medea and theirs nothing wrong with her but.i feel like theirs not enough time spent with her.half the game she's a horse.so you don't really get to talk much.Jessica you get to spend loads of time with and actually develop feelings for.i really wish Red were marriageable as well.she would make an interesting bride.just like dragon quest 5

Red has a history with Yangus, and the Hero and Medea grew up together. I could see Jessica and Angelo settling down if he were to stop being a Casanova. I might take the Jessica marriage next time. I face her in Memories Lane next. Morrie (95) is the only character not level 99, and there are two critters I have to face in the field in order to complete the Bestiary.

yes i know theirs history between all of them.but it didn't stop square soft or whatever their called now from making Jessica marriageable option.and that was because the fans wanted her instead of Medea.they could have made alot of the girls marriageable.giving more options.history shouldn't matter when it comes to love interests in.plus despite the history between Yangus and Red.

he seems to trust the hero well enough.to the point where he wouldn't mind them getting together.Angelo will always be a philanderer and flirt.and by the end of the game it's shown that he's still the same.i believe that Jessica AND Medea are both good marriage options.and everyone on the internet agrees.i'm just saying that they could have had a few more marriage options.like Valentina or Emma

I'm not surprised Jessica is more popular than Medea. In fact, while I was on my first play-through of the PS2 version, I was disappointed that Medea was the only choice. If there was more "story" about Valentia - or even Emma - then I would consider them more appealing options.

IKR.i mean i'm not trying to turn this into a dating sim. ok maybe i am.but you can't blame me for that.there's just so many pretty girls.it's all about the women's in dragon quest 8.Medea,Jessica,Red,Valentina,Emma,Princess Mini,Carrie.WOOO!.so much hotness.ahem.sorry about that.but yes there should have been more girls to choose.and yeah they could've had more back story to them.

they would have to do something storywise.to make Marcello join.what they could do i have no idea.but it would have to fit with the plot somehow.any ideas.because Marcello states that he doesn't want to help the hero.and that's inthe optional dungeon.it would have to be something in the storyline for Marcello to join.like give him a reason to help the hero.otherwise he has no reason to help.
