help i deleted the lynel. Backstory: I was going to kill the lynel. I fought for a bit, and got a ancient arrow hit. He just vaporised, no loot or noise.

Ancient Arrows are only really designed to combat Guardians. Against all other enemies, you won't get any spoils that way, so you'd have to actually combat them.
