I totally get that! I tend to use light colors, and I usually leave backgrounds white (sinceIcan'tbackgroundtosavemylife) I'm gonna try to work on backgrounds when I get back into drawing so my light colors can not look too faint!

Hmm...I don't know...maybe try doing art challenges and start experimenting more? There's nothing really bad about your art, but I'm glad you're open to critique. Unlike another artist I've heard of...

Oh definitely, art challenges especially. I need to challenge myself to draw stuff I don't usually draw so I can broaden my skill. And to be fully honest I can be a bit scared of critique but I know I need it if I want to get better cx

I need to broaden my skills as well. I need a lot of practice with drawing hands, and especially feet -_-

Aa same. Hands are a nightmare. And I have a habit of hiding them which I need to break.

If there's anything an artist can do improve, getting out of your comfort zone is one way. So like Peko said, try doing things you don't normally do. Personally, I'd try using more intense shading or work on backgrounds (I know the struggle too ;u;). Your art is already pretty great! The soft colors and the simplicity works really well for you! But it never hurts to try something new ;)

Aa thanks Danny! And I'll try a lot of experimentation once my semester is over and I can draw regularly. Especially shading, backgrounds and haaands!

Hands are so weird; we usually don't know how complex they are until we literally sketch them out. XD Still pushing in school, eh? I guess I should feel lucky that I'm already out (but I'm also likely to go back earlier, so yay). Keep at it! @Natalie. It's so harsh to make a background sometimes. I'm trying, but there's always a flat color behind it all. XD

I have one more full week and then I'm done! I'm ending so late this semester I don't know why but I'm getting close!

*violently sprints in.* Two days, I spent in isolation. Two days, I was separated from the group. Two days, I waited at home, waiting for internet to come back! Color: Yeah, I do agree with this being brought up. Perhaps in addition to backgrounds, maybe practice on characters with darker color schemes? Hands: Try drawing the hands and fingers with rectangles, I find that it works.

Oh my gosh! And I tend to work best with pastel or bright colors, so whenever I do dark color schemes I suck at them! But I probably should try practicing with them. And construction shapes might be good with hands.

...And internet may not be back up at home since I'm using my other location. Anyways, try this idea with villain characters since (barring exceptions to the general notion) they usually use darker color schemes anyways. ...And I do this in a lot of my own art too, I just simply used geometry and mathematics to build and pose my characters (at least, I'm trying to.).

Maybe I'll use Shira or Darkella to practice with. And I generally use shapes and guide lines when drawing but I often got lost with hands. I think I just need to use better construction shapes.

Darkella and Shira should be excellent for this. Speaking of color schemes, I've been stuck on a conflict with character design: See, I've been thinking of giving Minerva a redesign. Thinking about it, she wouldn't look good in pinkish-white... At all. I've been thinking of changing her to either black or a dark purple / magenta. What darker color would a beautiful bruiser look better in?

Okay, I'll try to get magenta onto the color palette, start a new picture for Minerva, then see if it works. Thanks for the idea! ...Although I'm not starting immediately, since I want to gather multiple opinions.
