    Me too :D I haven't exactly played a Megaman game yet but I do have lots of knowledge on the story, some game mechanics, and other stuff (Particularly a fan of Megaman Classic & Megaman X). You're not the only one with an OC based off of Zero though ;) Cuz my OC FATE surely has it———well…subtly to say the least. The colored drawing of him on my favorite post makes it a little more apparent lol

    By the way the story goes in my crossover fanfiction "Sword of Fate", technically yes, although being Zero's rival is not FATE's main role in the part of the story he appears in. I did have some details about an example of Zero and FATE's rivalry in Sword of Fate when I was talking to Nathanael about the same topic in the comments of my favorite post.

    First of all, I bet that it would be FATE who would instigate it due to suspicion of what Zira looking similar like her older brother, Zero, meant (Although FATE wouldn't know they are siblings). FATE never liked people that resemble him in some way—for he feels as if his goal to take back the throne as the King of Destinies would be stopped in some way by those who look like him and are powerful.

    This is mostly why FATE wanted to defeat Zero so no one could stop him from reclaiming his title. It's a symbolic thing to FATE if someone looks like him lol Perhaps Zira tried to prevent FATE from going to challenge Zero, and FATE takes her action as a threat or a challenge. It would be cool to see how Zira can deal with FATE's powers of time and use of Continuum energy in his attacks.
