    Watamote's kind of a tricky one. It exceeds in art style, humor,aesthetic and has a really great dub, but story progression is nonexistent. Try NHK ni Youkoso and Yahari Ore no Seishun

    Well... If you want somebody like the main character from Watamote you should check out Lucky Star. Konata is more of an expressive character but you can appreciate all the references she makes. There are many other characters that you can relate to. Like later in season 1 an artist character is introduced and there are 3 "otaku" type characters (The artist and Konata being two of them).
