～みんてつのやぼう NEO～ #176 【四宿支社】 いつの日か迷急、東相、東橋の3大鉄道会社と肩を比べるレベルに持っていきたいと思っています((( 川西本線の駅紹介は3駅目です。今回は「川西(かわにし)駅」です！兵庫県にも似たような名前の駅がありますが、駅名の由来は部黒川の西側にある地区からつけられています。 開業前はとても寂しい農村地帯でしたが、近年、特急停車駅に格上げしてからかなり開発が進みました。１日の利用客数はおよそ7万人程度です。 この先、黒宮駅までは川と山脈を縫うように線路がうねっていて、スピードアップの大きな障害となっています。黒宮駅を過ぎるとそこから川を挟んで部黒本線という強敵が現れるため、眠鉄最強の高規格区間が現れます。 あれ？とある駅から性格がガラリと変わる路線、関東のどっかで聞いたことがあるような……

    だいぶ昔の現在の川西駅付近の写真です。この辺りは地区内で最も開発が遅れた場所でもあります。
