No off tv play :( No Tate mode :( Sometimes find it hard to see the bullets :( Good basic gameplay though. Not many shmups on Wii U. Do a buy!

If you want a really good shmup on Wii U, get Ghost Blade HD, it's awesome. For older shmups, i recommend going into Wii mode and looking into Ironclad on the Neo Geo VC and in the generally great selection of shmups on the TG16 VC (Soldier Blade, Star Parodier, Gradius 2...).

Yes, that would be nice. When there are a few shmups on the Switch, someone should make a special stand for it so they can be played in tate mode on the Switch's screen.

The Switch has some great shmups now (Blazing Star, Strikers 1945, Aero Fighters 2) and also some ok ones, and there is some promising stuff coming in the future (Danmaku Unlimited 3, more shmups from Psikyo). Also, it turned out the popular Switch stand from Hori is perfect for TATE games.
