The Sheikah symbol also features an eye. Vaati is an eye. The Sheikah are the Illuminati and Vaati is their leader.

The Shiekah Eye was the original Shiekah mark, but when the Shiekah got in a fight with the Royal Family long ago, a single tear was added to the crest to forever remind them of their deeds.
