    Well since people keep saying it's the greatest game alive, I'd say it's very much overrated. It's 2016 there have been many Zelda titles that have come out since that are better than OOT. Sure it was the first Zelda to take the leap from 2-D to 3D, but that's beside the point.

    The N64 Zelda games are overrated in general. There are plenty of awesome Zelda games a lot of people refuse to experience

    A bit late to the party on this. the general concensus now is it was overrated and has lowered to what extent I don't know but it's generally no longer viewed that way.

    Totally agree, I know its been said before but the game is so SLOWWW, and its just... Walk from A to B to C to D to F and back to B but then... OOHH NOO Garnarn's gaht teh preenscees.... I think OoT's GOOD but not ''Best game ever'' and DEFINITELY not best Zelda ever.

    I think it's less a matter of OoT being overrated and more a matter of other Zelda games not being given the praise they deserve. OoT is a fantastic game, but IMO there are other titles that deserve at least as much praise. Basically, OoT doesn't need to be praised less, other games simply need to be regarded more highly.

    Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon and Goemon's Great Adventure are both better then the N64 Zelda games and are the best N64 games in my opinion.

    Like many hype games these days, and other series. Anyway OoT in fact is unique and my second favorite Zelda game, Skyward Sword get the top many years ago.
