    Yeah after you kill the dragon you have to have an ender pearl,there will be like a purple beam in the sky to where the portal is, throw the ender pearl through the portal and it should work! if you are playing on an old world you have to hit the ''reset the end'' option before you load the world! i hope this helps. let me know if it doesn't
