    In its purest form, the ability to draw well is learnt through careful observation of lines. The rest (shading, colour theory etc) is embellishment. Practice drawing simpler things with fewer and less complicated lines, such as logos or controllers. Anything simple. You'll pick it up sooner than you think. The only popularity worth having is based on being genuine and nice, not 'yeahs'.
