When you think about it, the Hylians see themselves as the master race of Hyrule. They rule over everyone and other races live separately from them, the royal heir they believe is descended from the goddess, they say they hear the voices of the gods, and theirs is the one and true religion.

  • Think about what you're saying. Its their history, as told by the Hylians ;) - Each game is technically a legend being told. Who are the ones telling the legends? The ones who rule the kingdom x) Think about it!!1!!!one!!1

  • Of course, I jest. But its all about your perspective. We could say it all happened in their history just as easily as we could say its what they're telling the kingdom. Look at how America tells their history of the indians as opposed to the history we found out was true. :p

  • I get what your saying, and I know it's a joke, but technically Hyrule Historia is confirmed to be canon, and it details the history of that world as Nintendo has built it, not as the Hylians remember it. :D And thankfully America hasn't taught THAT version of their history with Native Americans to children in decades. Prejudice still exists, but most Americans are now determined to weed it out.

  • About the Gerudo, HH doesn't really say what or who started the war pre-OoT. They just said the war lasted probably a century or two ("seemed endless") and Hyrule subjugated the opposition into unification, which included Ganondorf and the Gerudo.

    Yeahs1
  • But they did say Ganondorf's endgame from the start was obtaining the Triforce even if they never really say why that's what he was after. Could have been a thirst for power, could have been revenge for years of decimation in the face of the Hylians. Though TWW shines a little bit of light on his motives.

  • What you say makes sense, Cody. It's possible Ganondorf agreed to either unification or partnership with Hyrule with the intent of getting closer to what and who he needed to obtain the Triforce.

  • Natsi hylians.
