Now, look at the first part of Chocolate City III. Simple setup once again; it's just giant enemies sitting on the castle tops. But...

It's setup the same way as it was in Castle City IV; only difference is the level theme.

But wait, there's more. Now, look at this spot. This spot appears in Piranha Castle as shown in this screenshot. But, this exact same spot also shows up in Piranha City III & Marioville with the only difference, again, being the level theme.

Lastly, there's a red coin section in Piranha Castle II that may have previously appeared in Piranha City. I looked at both sections...and they looked really similar. And again only the level theme changed. There are other levels with assests and rooms partially taken from older levels, but I won't talk about those as it'll take too long.

Oh wait, I only talked about the first parts of each level; now I'll briefly discuss the second parts of each level accessible by a pipe at the end. Now, it's not so bad in your new levels. But, some levels with second parts look similar to other levels with second parts. I'm talking about rooms such as the Wiggler Coaster and the multiple enemy spewing bill blaster boss.

For the Wiggler Coaster, the variety is great. Each level has a different version of the same room with noticeable alterations. But, it seems some parts look similar to parts from other levels. The Wiggler City series is home to these rooms. A room in one level may have obstacles that are slightly moved or are in the same spot compared to another room from another level.

So, Wiggler Coaster is good...but the boss with a bill blaster that shoots multiple enemies at once? Well, each variation is not so different from one another. The only changes I noticed were the enemies fired, the level theme, and possibly the room layout. Mechanics stay the same in each variation. They even start the same way, which is shown here.

Okay, on to the next issue...the repetitiveness of the rooms and obstacles. Now, I'll go through a room and see an obstacle(s). Now, imagine that same obstacle(s) being in the same room with little variation. Yeah, that's a problem. I understand it's that way so the player is not thrown off by another obstacle that shows up from nowhere. And it only seems to be an issue in levels with autoscroll.

But, it's still noticeable. And oh yeah...levels with autoscroll. Yeah, seeing the same obstacle(s) over and over gets a bit boring. You want to see something new, but the room hardly changes. I know it's not the case for all of your levels with autoscroll, but when the autoscroll is slow, it feels tiring seeing the same thing over and over.

I think the issue mainly shows up in the Mario Kart Airship series. Imagine a few still frames of a film reel. Now, imagine those frames looping over and over with only slight edits. Yeah, that's how I feel about the obstacle(s) in each room in each level in the series. I think this screenshot might help explain what I mean.

I think the worst case is in Bowser's Neighborhood X. You got a second part at the end, but you have a slow first part to get through. And both rooms in the first part have the same obstacle(s), but with no variation.

Phew, well that felt like a long rant. To summarize my points: Some rooms in some levels feel repetitive with the same obstcles present throughout the whole room. Some assets and rooms from some levels feel reused in other levels. And the levels with autoscroll tend to suffer from slow speeds and having the same obstacles with little to no variation in each room.

Don't worry, you seem to be straying far away from those issues in Frozen Fish. Yeah some obstacles still feel repetitive as in they show up constantly in each room...at least for the first part. But, each level feels completely fresh and the second parts are a blast to get through. And I see potential in this series growing. Maybe with more size variation in the platforms it can get interesting.

Well, that's all I have to get off of my chest. Again, those issues may not seem like much. But, once you notice them, you can't help but notice them anyway.
