コピーについて

最近on島に行くと、同じ村で同じ名前の人たちがたくさんいます。そういうのって、『コピー』と言われてる人たちなんですよね。んで、なんで皆コピーしたがるのか、いまいちよくわからん。というか、コピーしたら何がメリットになるのかわからないのでどなたか教えてくださいな。
