He is in the first adventure map on square B-1, which is 6 spaces up and 7 spaces left from your original starting point. You need to use search before you start the level and bomb the rock wall 2 spaces to the right of the bottom of the stairs. You unlock him by clearing the level (no A rank required). I will reply with pictures of the bomb space and map location.
