    Skull kid is in the game for free but you need to unlock him. Also I promise you the chicken will murder you if you do. If you have ever tried it in OOT, the exact same thing happens in this game. I learned this because I accidentally ran over one with Epona once in OOT.

    If you have the character you are using unlocked, try to upgrade their combos. That can help. Also the game gets harder, like when you have to fight turncoat soldiers on the adventure maps. You can also adjust the difficulty in the settings on the main menu, which affects all modes
