Mario Kart 8

Playing Mario Kart 8 online is one of my favorite things to do on Wii U. But with the release of the Switch in a few short months, it makes me wonder how long Nintendo will still support online play on here. How long do you think it will be? I'm predicting it will be like the Wii and DS; 2 years (give or take a few months) after their successors were released.
