    They hate them because they aren't Paper Mario! Sticker Star had no story, no good combat, and another Bowser kidnaps Peach story. Color Splashed saved Paper Mario, but basically was another Sticker Star. No exp, no good combat, a bit more story, and another Bowser kidnaps Peach story. Both games had a world map, and not a great story. This is what made them so hated.
