I'm sorry but I don't know. I haven't even beat the adventure map yet. I'm sure there are guides on the internet or the Wiki for Hyrule Warriors though. I'm really sorry I couldn't be any help.

You unlock new map when you defeat the dark lord of this map. For example, if I beat the dark lord of the first adventure map, I unlock the great sea map. After that, you need to defeat the dark lord of the great sea map to unlock the next map. You only need to defeat the dark lord to unlock the next adventure map. I hope this can help you !!!
