hidi ho miiverse friends. i gotta ask ya'll this question: what method is better for getting shinies the masuda method or sos battling? i'm asking this cuz i've been sos battling meowth for at least 3-4 days now and still no shiny meowth, just the more common one. help me please. i'm very, very new to the sos battles in pokemon sun & moon.

    and math alt. the masuda method is a way to breed for shinies. you basically take a pokemon from another region/country and put it in the nursery/ daycare with whatever pokemon you want to get more of example: in my alpha sapphire i put my greninja in the daycare with my german ditto. i got a shiny froakie that way. i also got a shiny tepig by using the masuda method.

    no offense but i don't consider the masuda method as shiny hunting . to me it's a way to breed for shinies and it's worked for me so i'll continue using it. sos battles..... i'm not sure about that....

    neil, it's not you but another person saidin his opinion the best method for shiny hunting was not to shiny hunt at all. i'm gonna shiny hunt no matter what but i'm wondering if there's a trick to sos battling to get shinies successfully. or if i'm better off just using the masuda method.
