Try to use less buttons so you can move without thinking. Don't use the buttons to somersault/ uturn. Flick the sticks. Hold the gamepad up, and use the gamepad primarily to move and shoot. Use the Tv when you want to see all around you. Barrel roll by shifting left and right quickly. don't double tap in 1 direction. With these basics, you should be able to out maneuver everything.

To add to that, use charge shots, bombs, and the breaks too. That helped me when I first played.
