    It's not coming for a few reasons. First, the 3DS isn't powerful enough to play Minecraft. Mojang wants feature parity, but a 3DS version would not be able to support many of the things found in other versions, like the Wii U's 864x864 block worlds and redstone. It would get really laggy. Also, the Nintendo Switch is going to replace the Wii U and 3DS, so Mojang won't make an inferior version that
