Opinions with Froger. one of the things that I love about the legend of Zelda is that the princess is not a damsel in distress, she is a character that that you care about. But not because the game told you, its because she will fight for her self. its hard to care about someone who just sets around waiting to be saved.

It depends on which game(s) you're talking about. Many of them do have Link rescue Zelda at one point or another. And "damsel in distress" and "character you care about" aren't necessarily mutually exclusive.
