Breeding a team or genning a team

I've noticed some people like to breed there own teams, but others want to start battling already, so they gen themselves some pokemon to use. I'm okay with both ways, but I am curious to know if you breed your own teams or do you gen yourself a team

  • Both.

  • I breed. I do not like people who gen. If one wants to make a team without taking the effort to do it naturally, they should stay with Pokemon Showdown, not the actual games. (Showdown is kinda useful for planning a team out in the first place, however.)

  • I don't gen myself, but sometimes (like every week) I get good shinies BR and love ball for almost nothing on the GTS, so I use that team. THE OFFERS ARE FROM A TWITCH STREAMER CALLED AUSLOVE YOU SHOULD WATCH IT TO GET NEARLY FREE SHINIES!

  • Breed, genning is unfair against those that play normally and it taints the legitimate players experience. Genners should stick to Showdown.

  • if you don't want to breed just play showdown

  • I'm okay with both, because I saw what others said on both sides of things and it wasn't pretty. Then I just thought to myself that breeding is the way to do things, but genning doesn't seem like it should be a problem. I do respect your opinions and there are wrong opinions about this

  • People should just mind their own business. Where I get my Pokemon shouldn't matter to anyone. The "it's not fair to people who breed" argument is so childish.

  • I meant to say there are no wrong opinions of the situation. I was tired when I wrote that

  • @Zombeats, Please tell us how a legitimate player is to get a Wish Chansey. I don't really care about the time and effort thing, but there are points where there's a line that's crossed and this is one of them where legitimate players aren't on the same plain.

  • I know you don't breed it, but the question's really whether you cheat or not for your team, at least in my eyes.
