I am happy for the switch coming out but I have invested way to much into the wii u and 3ds! To buy another gaming system and repay for each game again? I over the last 5 years probably dropped 2 or 3 thousand dollars in games and I can't transfer any of those to the switch? So starting over with the cost of a new game system is out of reach for me atleast 1 or 2 more years.

  • I think the switch is only for people who can afford to buy it and an entirely new batch of games anyways (and games that were already on the Wii U) Or people like me, Who haven't put much moneys into the Wii U besides a few games and virtual console games

  • I can't stand the thought of having to move over to an entirely new console, Even if i didn't invest much into the one i currently have

  • You know that you can keep your console and games that you own and just buy the console, right?

  • No wii u games or 3ds games will work on the switch! So paying out more money for a new system and games for me now is just not doable. If i could transfer from wii u or 3ds to switch i might get it but to start over? not this year :)

  • I'm not saying that, I'm just saying don't turn in your consoles at the moment and keep them to play the rest of the games you need to play. When the Wii U came out, I kept my Wii so I could finish Paper Mario TTYD and other Gamecube gems like that.

  • $ for a console isn't even a question for me. I'm prepared to get Switch at launch if i decide to get it but i still don't know if im getting switch or a PS4. For me its only a matter of what i buy and when i'll get it and my Wii U and 3DS aren't going nowhere there gonna stay right here with me M14

  • I figure let others try the switch first, use them as test subjects :) maybe after time see how it plays, holds up to daily use, Cost of all this and a few other thing I am sure want to know about a year or so maybe then try it but I just can't afford it now.

  • Switch will launch with some enhanced ports, but will get sequels down the line. Key is getting and keeping third party support.

  • the switch might only be $250, and I see what you mean, I've spent ~$1K between my Wii U and 3ds digitally, fingers crossed for digital backwards compatibility, maybe wii u gamepad compatibility, I'll still buy switch no matter what
