super mario maker is not what you want to get via eshop because you can't go to miiverse and post a play journal entry with a screenshot you just took. so I'm using this one that I saved.

    Oh no Ive found out that the old 3DS just doesn't have enough guts to run mario maker and miiverse.

    so it doesn't matter wether eshop or card is what you get. you just need a new 3DS XL.
