Do I have to play...

Do I have play the first two Mass Effect's before playing this on, or will it be ok if I start on ME3?

    You can, IF you want. It will take a lot more time, and you have a greater chance of messing up. Plus in ME2, the loyalty missions are such a pain. But, it can be fun. But, you DO NOT have to play the first two. You can use the interactive comic.

    Keep in mind, if you do NOT use the interactive comic, you have the highest chance of ruining your data in ME3, because it will randomly select for you, meaning you will eff it up BIG time.

    What do you mean by mess up my data, such as corruption or just choices you make in the game?

    It won't corrupt the data itself, but it will mess up your choices. M.E is all about choices. So, i would say, do whichever feels right for you, but if you don't import data, then use the comic. If you skip the comic, you won't have Tali, Legion, or any of your squadmates from ME2.

    Well for the U you have only 3 to play and each game you can play that game and feel fulfilled...BUT overall the stories of the games and all the experiences are pretty cool. Andromeda is coming in March 2017 and that's a start of a whole new storyline.

    The comics covers the story from ME1 and ME2. It may not do a thorough job at it, so ideally, you will want to play the previous games or maybe YouTube some of the key plot points after digesting the plot from the comics. If you have a decent PC, ME2 is being given away by EA at the moment.

    I just finished this game. the interactive comic is enough to get you on track. Im donwloading mass effect 2 for pc at the moment. Im hooked up.
