Is it possible to use a pro controller or flight pad?

I'm really quite dissatisfied with the button placement on the gamepad. Why did I buy a comfy gamecube inspired controller that seems to be incompatible with anything I want to play?

  • Unfortunately, I do not believe that they are compatible. You can tell by looking at the controller symbol on the back of the case. The flight pad is essentially a Classic Controller Pro, which has limited compatibility to the traditional Pro in most games. If you are looking for a Gamecube controller to use with more games, then I would recommend a Procube, which is a Pro with a GCN layout.

  • Arkham City only supports the gamepad, which is a clunky ergo nightmare. It's 'kind of' interesting to have a secondary screen, but the button placement isn't for human hands. There are so few titles for wii-u, yet so many controllers, and now they're releasing a new console? Is nintendo trying to fail, or do they think all we want is lots of expensive hardware with not much to use it for?

  • Why can't wii get software deals with bethesda or square? How amazing would it be to use the gamepad like a pipboy while aiming with the wiimote in Fallout? I imagine it would be fantastic enough that I'd never experience a moment of buyer's remorse, but I doubt I'll ever know. How cool would it be to manage characters with the touch screen in a final fantasy title? STEP UP YOUR GAME NINTENDO.

  • The only problem i had was trying to control the Batarang with the WiiU gamepad.

  • No because it is an launch title during the wii u release before the pro controller even invented
